WHEN DID YOU BEGIN SERVING AT TRINITY?
WHY HAVE YOU CHOSEN TO SERVE AT TRINITY? WHAT LED YOU HERE?
I’ve gone here my whole life. There hasn’t ever been a mens ministry that I could remember. I was noticing how much the ladies were enjoying womens ministry events. I started thinking to myself, there needs to be this for the men here. So I started talking to some elders, and they said if I wanted to do something then I could head it up.
HOW DO YOU SEE TRINITY SERVING OUR CITY?
Impact through the STNA (South Tabor Neighborhood Association) – being more than just a building they meet in once a month.
The men being mentors for young men in Portland. Young guys especially need Godly men that they can look up to and be challenged by.
Having a regular day of service to the poor/homeless. Not just donation of goods, but of actions.
WHAT HAS GOD BEEN GIVING YOU A PASSION AND BURDEN FOR?
Mens ministry. Especially the involvement through service from young men.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE VERSE?
Psalm 145 is pretty great.
WHAT ABOUT YOU PERSONALLY WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHARE?
I’m married, have one child and one child on the way. I drive a bus for Tri-Met.
I really enjoy organized sports. I don’t follow any professional teams. But I wish I had more time to join a team of some sport. I did ultimate frisbee for a while when my schedule allowed, but have missed it since its disbanded.
Basically if it’s something I can do regularly with people, I will enjoy it.
